Copyediting & Developmental Editing

Editing is my professional passion and what I studied in graduate school. I have a wide range of editorial experience that includes educational and trade publishing, with a specialization in nonfiction. I love working with authors and organizations to help them shape their authentic voice and story.

Copyediting: Line-by-line review for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors, clarity, consistency, and factual accuracy. This is a great option for journal articles, presentations, reports, white papers, dissertations, websites, and marketing and communications materials that are nearly ready for publication.

Developmental Editing: Multi-stage, intensive editorial review and development of manuscripts and documents. Includes questions and comments, author coaching, and suggested content rewrites. This type of editing is appropriate for works that need substantial support beyond the scope of a copyedit

(e.g., structure, organization, writing style, logical flow).
